The Graskop Gorge scenic lift takes visitors 51 metres down the face of the gorge into the forest below, where wooden walkways and suspension bridges meander along a 600 metre trail through the indigenous forest with interactive exhibits.

The complex consist of a tourism centre, craft stalls, line shops and restaurant facility and boasts to be the first of its kind in the country.

88 tons of steel was used in the lift shaft

The total travel distance in the lift is 51m to the bottom of the Gorge, and it travels 1metre per second.
